If any of the following codes are recorded, the ECM enters the fail-safe mode.

If either of the elements malfunctions, the ECM controls the engine with other elements. If both of the elements malfunction, the ECM detects that the accelerator pedal position is fully closed. The engine can be run at idle (in this case, the throttle valve will remain closed as if the engine is idling). | "Pass" condition is detected and the engine switch is turned off |

- *: The vehicle can be driven slowly when the accelerator pedal is depressed firmly and slowly. If the accelerator pedal is depressed quickly, the vehicle may speed up and slow down erratically.
