DESCRIPTION
The urea pump has a level sensor that detects the position of the surface of the fluid inside the urea tank in order to measure the remaining quantity of urea solution.When the remaining quantity of urea solution falls below a fixed value, a warning is displayed on the combination meter.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

- Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
1.INSPECT LEVEL SENSOR (UREA PUMP) |
Inspect the level sensor (urea pump) (LandCruiser RM000005UKY000X.html).

Disconnect the level sensor (urea pump) connector.
Disconnect the urea pump control ECU connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:

Reconnect the urea pump control ECU connector.
Reconnect the level sensor (urea pump) connector.

3.CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P203C OR P203D) |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000PDK1E5X.html).
Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 3 seconds or more.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
Read the DTCs.
Result: Result Proceed to DTC P203C or P203D is output A DTC is not output B

4.REPLACE UREA PUMP CONTROL ECU |
Replace the urea pump control ECU (LandCruiser RM000005UL6000X.html).

5.CONFIRM WHETHER MALFUNCTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.
Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000PDK1E5X.html).
Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 3 seconds or more.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
Confirm that the DTC is not output again.
