INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Check that the "Wi-Fi" connection setting is on.
   

   Result

1. Check the "Wi-Fi" access point which the in-vehicle device is trying to connect to.
   

   Result

   HINT:

   This diagnosis procedure is only for connecting to a "Wi-Fi" access point of a portable device inside the vehicle.

1. Bring a portable device to be used to establish a "Wi-Fi" connection into the cabin and perform "Wi- Fi" connection again near the in-vehicle device.
   

   Result

1. Check the conditions and procedure for establishing a "Wi-Fi" connection, and perform "Wi-Fi" connection again.
   

   HINT:

   1. Considering the radio wave environment around the vehicle, move the vehicle and establish a "Wi-Fi" connection.
      
   2. As there may be interference, disconnect other "Wi-Fi" compatible devices or "Bluetooth" compatible devices before establishing a "Wi-Fi" connection.
      
   3. A "Wi-Fi" connection may not be able to be established in a region other than where the vehicle was sold.
      
   4. Customer operation may be required when establishing a "Wi-Fi" connection.
      
   5. A "Wi-Fi" connection can be established manually or automatically.
      
   6. There are 3 ways to establish a manual connection: Connecting using simple setting, connecting by searching for a "Wi-Fi" access point and inputting a password, and connecting by inputting an SSID and password.
      
   7. Even though an automatic connection is enabled, a connection can be established only when a "Wi-Fi" access point with the same SSID and password that were used for a previous connection exists.

1. Check the condition of portable device.
   

   HINT:

   The head unit may not be able to connect to the access point due to the condition of the portable device (e.g., the power may not be turned on, tethering may be turned off, or the SSID (name of access point) may not be sent).
