Input Shaft Reassembly

Using SST and a press, install a new front bearing to the input shaft.

NOTICE:

Be sure to install the input shaft front bearing with the snap ring groove on the front side.

Select a snap ring that makes the clearance between the input shaft and front bearing within the specification.

Standard clearance:

0.10 mm (0.00394 in.) or less

Snap Ring Thickness:

2.10 mm (0.0827 in.)

2.15 mm (0.0846 in.)

2.20 mm (0.0866 in.)

2.25 mm (0.0886 in.)

2.30 mm (0.0906 in.)

2.35 mm (0.0925 in.)

2.40 mm (0.0945 in.)

Using a snap ring expander, install the snap ring.

Apply gear oil to the input shaft bearing and install it to the input shaft.

Apply gear oil to No. 2 synchronizer ring and install it to the input shaft.
