Front Seat Assembly (For Manual Seat) -- Reassembly |
- CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
- The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
| 1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) |
- CAUTION:
- The nuts must not be reused.
- Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.
- Torque:
- 5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}
Attach the 2 clamps.
| 2. INSTALL NO. 2 SEAT WIRE (for Driver Side) |
Attach the 2 clamps to install the seat wire.
Connect the connector.
| 3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD |
Install the seatback pad.
| 4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) |

Set the seatback heater with the name stamp side facing the seatback cover.

Install the seatback heater with new tack pins.
| 5. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER |
Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
- HINT:
- The number of hog rings differs according to seat type.

Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.
Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the nut.
- Torque:
- 5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}
- NOTICE:
- After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.

Close the 2 fasteners, and then close the seatback cover.

Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to install the cover.
Attach the guide.

| 8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH |
Install the seat wire.
| 9. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) |
Attach the 2 clamps to install the seat heater control.
Connect the connector.
| 10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH |

Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to attach the hook and install the protector.
Install the screw.
| 11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
| 12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH |
Attach the hook and clip to install the cushion shield.
Install the screw.
| 13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH |
Attach the hook and clip to install the cushion shield.
Install the screw.
| 14. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH |
Attach the claw and guide to install the cover.
| 15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) |

Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.

Install the seat cushion heater with new tack pins.

Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

Using hog ring pliers, connect the straps with new hog rings.

| 17. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD |
Install the seat cushion cover with pad.
for Front Passenger Side:
Attach the claw to connect the connector.
Attach the hooks.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Connect the seat heater connector and attach the 3 wire harness clamps.
| 18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH |

Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to install the cover.
Attach the 2 claws.
| 19. INSTALL CAP |
Install the 2 caps.
| 20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY |
Install the seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.
- Torque:
- 42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Connect the airbag wire harness.
Attach the fastening tape to close the cover.
Attach the 3 airbag wire harness clamps.
Attach the claw and connect the airbag connector.
for Clip Type:
Install the 2 clips.
for Hook Type:
Attach the 2 hooks.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Connect the seat heater connector and attach the wire harness clamp.
for Driver Side:
Attach the clamp to connect the No. 2 seat wire.
Install the rubber band to the seat cushion spring.

Install the switch with the 2 screws.

Attach the 5 wire harness clamps and connect the 2 connectors.
Attach the 4 claws and clip to install the cushion shield.

Install the screw.

Install the handle with the screw.

Attach the claw to install the handle.
