Fuel Sub Tank -- Installation |
1. INSTALL FUEL TANK BREATHER HOSE |
Install the fuel tank breather hose to the fuel sub tank sub-assembly.
2. INSTALL FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE |
Install the fuel tank to filler pipe hose to the fuel sub tank sub-assembly.
3. INSTALL FUEL TANK VENT TUBE ASSEMBLY |
Install a new gasket and fuel tank vent tube assembly with the 8 screws.
- Torque:
- 4.0 N*m{41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf}
Attach the wire harness clamp.
4. INSTALL FUEL SUB TANK SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Set the fuel sub tank sub-assembly on an engine lifter and lift up the engine lifter.
Connect the 2 fuel tank bands with the 4 bolts.
- Torque:
- 40 N*m{408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf}
Connect the fuel sender gauge assembly connector.
5. CONNECT FUEL TANK BREATHER HOSE |
Connect the fuel tank breather hose to the filler pipe.
6. CONNECT FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE |
Connect the fuel tank to filler pipe hose to the filler pipe.
7. CONNECT FUEL HOSE |
Connect the fuel evaporation hose, fuel breather hose and fuel hose.
8. INSTALL NO. 2 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR |
Install the No. 2 fuel tank protector with the 5 bolts.
- Torque:
- 20 N*m{204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf}
9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
10. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK |
Make sure that there are no fuel leaks after performing maintenance on the fuel system.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester on.
- NOTICE:
- Do not start the engine.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump / Speed.
Check that there are no leaks from the fuel system.
If there are fuel leaks, repair or replace parts as necessary.Turn the engine switch off.
Disconnect the intelligent tester from the DLC3.
