Fuel Filter -- Replacement |
1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE |
Discharge the fuel system pressure (LandCruiser RM0000028RU05JX.html).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
3. DISCONNECT FUEL HOSE |
Disconnect the hose from the clamp.
Disconnect the fuel hose (LandCruiser RM0000028RU05JX.html).

4. DISCONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE |
Disconnect the fuel main tube (LandCruiser RM0000028RU05JX.html).

5. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 3 bolts and fuel filter.

6. INSTALL FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY |
Install the fuel filter with the 3 bolts.
- Torque:
- 7.0 N*m{71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf}
7. CONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE |
Connect the fuel main tube (LandCruiser RM0000028RU05JX.html).
8. CONNECT FUEL HOSE |
Connect the fuel hose (LandCruiser RM0000028RU05JX.html).
Connect the hose to the clamp.
9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
10. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK |
Make sure that there are no fuel leaks after performing maintenance on the fuel system.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester on.
- NOTICE:
- Do not start the engine.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump / Speed.
Check that there are no leaks from the fuel system.
If there are fuel leaks, repair or replace parts as necessary.Turn the engine switch off.
Disconnect the intelligent tester from the DLC3.
