  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  7. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

  8. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)

  10. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)

  11. REMOVE FLOOR SIDE RAIL LH (w/ Deck Rail)

  19. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER

  20. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

Rear Airbag Sensor (For 5 Door) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
  1. After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work. (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html)
  2. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).


2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  1. for Manual Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM0000045DB008X.html).

  1. for Power Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM0000045DG00EX.html).

  1. for Face to Face Seat Type:

    1. Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM0000045DX006X.html).



3. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  1. Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips, 6 claws and 2 guides and remove the rear door scuff plate.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.



7. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

  1. Remove the tonneau cover.



8. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)

  1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the cap.

10. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)

  1. Detach the 5 clips and 4 claws and remove the rear floor mat rear support plate.



11. REMOVE FLOOR SIDE RAIL LH (w/ Deck Rail)

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and floor side rail.

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor.

    2. Detach the 6 claws and 2 guides and disconnect the rear seatback lock control lever base.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 screws.

    4. Detach the 5 clips and 8 claws.



    5. Pass the rear seatback lock control lever base through the deck trim side panel and remove the deck trim side panel.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear No. 2 seat outer belt floor anchor.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.



    4. Detach the 4 clips and 8 claws and remove the deck trim side panel.

21. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH

  1. Remove the nut and rear airbag sensor.

  1. Disconnect the connector.
