- *1: for Navigation Receiver Type
- *2: for Radio and Display Type
- *1: for Navigation Receiver Type
Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems may be needed (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
When the lens of the front television camera assembly is dirty, wash the lens with water and wipe it off with a soft cloth to obtain clear images. For heavy dirt, use neutral detergent to clean the lens.
2.PRECAUTIONS FOR WIDE VIEW FRONT MONITOR SYSTEM |
Handling precautions:
The wide view front monitor system may not function properly if the camera is subjected to strong shocks, such as striking it, etc.
Scrubbing the lens of the camera may scratch the lens and affect the image.
If waxes or similar compounds adhere to the camera, it is necessary to clean the camera off immediately and wash it with water.
The wide view front monitor system may not function properly if the camera is subjected to sudden temperature changes, such as applying hot water on it when it is cold.
If there is condensation, snow, mud, etc. on the camera, wash it with water and wipe it with a soft cloth. If the camera is excessively dirty, wash it with a mild detergent.
The system may not operate properly under the following conditions:
When driving on frozen, slippery, or snowy roads.
When using tire chains or the spare tire.
When the hood are not completely closed.
When driving on an uneven road that has slopes, bumps, or gravel, etc.
Even if the camera is functioning properly, the image may not be clear under the following conditions:
When the camera is cold (the image is darker than normal).
When the camera is in a dark area (such as at night).
When the camera is exposed to very high or very low temperatures.
When the vehicle or road is slanted (there is left-right image displacement).
As a result of the brightness of the ambient lighting (the image brightness differs between the right and left).
- HINT:
- When a strong light (such as when sunlight is reflected off a vehicle body) hits the camera, vertical streaks, a phenomenon peculiar to the camera, may appear in the image.
- In order to position the camera, a portion of the vehicle appears in the wide view front monitor image. This is not a malfunction.
- Light from buildings or the taillights of vehicles may be reflected in the image when driving at night. This is not a malfunction.
