Rear Floor Airbag Sensor Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  4. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  5. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE RH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR COVER

  9. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR

Rear Floor Airbag Sensor -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
  1. After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work. (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html)
  2. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).


2. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY
  1. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468P00TX.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type RH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468U00WX.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Tumble Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM0000046ZI006X.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Tumble Seat Type RH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM0000046ZN006X.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468A00VX.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type RH Side:

    1. Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468F00QX.html).



3. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for all rear No. 1 floor step covers.
  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear No. 1 floor step cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and quarter scuff plate.



5. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE RH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.


6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  1. Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips, 6 claws and 2 guides and remove the rear door scuff plate.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.


8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR COVER
  1. Fold back the floor carpet.

  1. Detach the clip and claw and remove the cover.



9. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR

  1. Remove the bolt and sensor.

  1. Disconnect the connector.
