  1. Measure the resistance of the exhaust valve.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Condition
      Specified Condition
      2 (L) - 1 (B)
      15 to 25°C (59 to 77°F)
      10 to 14 Ω

  1. Check the exhaust valve operation.

    1. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 (B), and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (L).

    2. Check the operating sound of the height control valve.

      OK:
      It makes an operating sound.

    1. Apply 12 V battery voltage to the compressor motor and check the operation of the motor.

      OK:
      Measurement Condition
      Specified Value
      12 V battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)
      12 V battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (E)
      Motor operates

      NOTICE:
      1. Do not operate the height control compressor for 60 seconds or more.
      2. Stop applying voltage immediately if the compressor stops operating because a short will occur and the compressor motor will lock up, causing a flow of excessive current.
If the result is not as specified, replace the height control compressor.
