Height Control Compressor -- Inspection |
1. INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR (EXHAUST VALVE) |
Measure the resistance of the exhaust valve.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (L) - 1 (B) 15 to 25°C (59 to 77°F) 10 to 14 Ω

Check the exhaust valve operation.
Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 (B), and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (L).
Check the operating sound of the height control valve.
- OK:
- It makes an operating sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the height control compressor.Text in Illustration *a Component without harness connected

2. INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR (COMPRESSOR MOTOR) |
Check the compressor operation.
Apply 12 V battery voltage to the compressor motor and check the operation of the motor.
- OK:
Measurement Condition Specified Value 12 V battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)
12 V battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (E)Motor operates

(Compressor Motor)- NOTICE:
- Do not operate the height control compressor for 60 seconds or more.
- Stop applying voltage immediately if the compressor stops operating because a short will occur and the compressor motor will lock up, causing a flow of excessive current.
