TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Air Suspension)
Rear Shock Absorber -- Installation |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (LandCruiser RM00000118W0G8X.html).
| 1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Air Suspension) |
Install the cushion No. 2 to the rear shock absorber assembly LH.
Install the cushion No. 1 and rear shock absorber assembly LH with a new nut.
- Torque:
- 25 N*m{255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf}
- NOTICE:
- Be sure to fit the positioning protrusion of the bracket into the hole in the frame.

Temporarily install the rear shock absorber assembly LH with the bolt.
 |
Connect the absorber control actuator connector.
| 2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Air Suspension) |
Install the cushion No. 2 to the rear shock absorber assembly LH.
Temporarily install the cushion No. 1 and rear shock absorber assembly LH with a new nut.

Temporarily install the rear shock absorber assembly LH with the bolt.

Tighten the nut.
- Torque:
- 25 N*m{255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf}
| 3. INSTALL REAR WHEEL |
- Torque:
- for Aluminum Wheel:
- 103 N*m{1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf}
- for Steel Wheel:
- 112 N*m{1137 kgf*cm, 82 ft.*lbf}
| 4. STABILIZE SUSPENSION |
Lower the vehicle.
Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.
| 5. TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH |
Tighten the bolt.
- Torque:
- 98 N*m{999 kgf*cm, 72 ft.*lbf}
