Wireless door lock/unlock function:
The wireless door lock control function operates only when the following conditions are met:- The engine switch is off.
- All the doors are closed.
- HINT:
- The unlock function operates even when one of the doors is open.
- There is no door control transmitter in the cabin.
- The power door lock control system is functioning normally.
- The function is not disabled by customization.
- The engine switch is off.
The operational area of the wireless transmitter differs depending on the situation.
- The operational area differs depending on the user, the way the transmitter is held and the location.
- In certain areas, the operational area will be reduced due to the vehicle body shape and the influence of the surrounding environment.
- The weak electric waves from the transmitter may be affected if the area has strong electric waves or noise. The operational area of the transmitter may be reduced or the transmitter may not function.
- When the battery weakens, the operational area is reduced or the transmitter may not function.
- HINT:
- The battery may weaken or other problems may occur if one of the following occurs: 1) the transmitter has had prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, such as on the instrument panel; or 2) the transmitter is placed within 1 m (3.28 ft) of electrical products, such as TVs, computers, cordless phones, cell phone recharger stands (with the cell phone recharging), etc.
- The operational area differs depending on the user, the way the transmitter is held and the location.

- HINT:
- The switches described below transmit signals and are built into the door control transmitter.
- The operational area of the transmitter must be taken into account while checks are being made.
Make sure the vehicle is in a condition in which the wireless door lock control functions can be operated (see above).
Check the basic functions:
- Check that the transmitter LED illuminates 3 times when each switch is pressed 3 times.
- HINT:
- If the LED does not illuminate when a switch has been pressed 3 times or more, the battery may be depleted.
- Check that when the lock switch is pressed, all the doors lock.
- Check that when the unlock switch is pressed, all the doors unlock.
- Check that when the glass hatch open switch is pressed for approximately 1 second or more, the glass hatch opens.*

- Check that the transmitter LED illuminates 3 times when each switch is pressed 3 times.
Check the chattering prevention function:
- If a switch is pressed, check that the corresponding operation is performed only once. If the switch is held down, check that the corresponding operation occurs only once and does not repeatedly activate. Lastly, if a switch is pressed at 1 second intervals, check that the corresponding operation activates once for every press of the switch.

Check the answer-back function:
- When the lock switch is pressed, check that the hazard warning lights flash once and the buzzer* sounds once simultaneously with the locking operation of all the doors.
- When the unlock switch is pressed once, check that the hazard warning lights flash twice and the buzzer* sounds twice simultaneously with the unlocking operation of all the doors.

- When the lock switch is pressed, check that the hazard warning lights flash once and the buzzer* sounds once simultaneously with the locking operation of all the doors.
Check the automatic lock function:
- When all of the doors are unlocked with the unlock switch and none of the doors are opened or locked within 30 seconds*, check that the doors lock again.
- HINT:
- *: The automatic lock function time (30 seconds) applies only if the setting of this function is the default.
- When all of the doors are unlocked with the unlock switch and none of the doors are opened or locked within 30 seconds*, check that the doors lock again.
Check the switch operation fail-safe function:
- If the key is in the vehicle, check that the doors cannot be locked by the lock switch. However, this does not apply when the system is in recognition code registration mode.

Check the illuminated entry function:
- When the map light door switch is on and all the doors are locked, check that pressing the unlock switch causes the interior light to illuminate and all the doors to unlock simultaneously.
- If the doors have not been opened, check that the interior light turns off in approximately 15 seconds.
- When the map light door switch is on and all the doors are locked, check that pressing the unlock switch causes the interior light to illuminate and all the doors to unlock simultaneously.
Check the door ajar warning function (w/ Door Ajar Waning Function):
- If a door is open or not completely closed, check that the doors cannot be locked by the lock switch and the buzzer sounds for 5 seconds.
- HINT:
- The buzzer stops sounding if one of the following conditions is met:
- The buzzer has sounded for 5 seconds.
- The engine switch is turned on (ACC) or on (IG).
- All the doors are closed.
- If a door is open or not completely closed, check that the doors cannot be locked by the lock switch and the buzzer sounds for 5 seconds.
