Rear Power Seat Control System -- Initialization



INITIAL POSITION MEMORIZATION
NOTICE:
When the following actions are performed, initial position memorization is necessary:
  1. The fold seat control ECU is replaced with a new one.
  2. The fold seat control ECU initial position memory is reset.
HINT:
When the ignition switch is turned to ON before performing initial position memorization, a buzzer sounds continuously while the ignition switch is ON. Once initial position memorization is complete, the buzzer stops.
  1. Initial Position Memorization

    1. Hold the No. 1 fold seat switch assembly or No. 2 fold seat switch assembly in the return position until the seat cushion is completely restored to its seating position and the seatback is fully reclined.

    2. Hold the No. 1 fold seat switch assembly or No. 2 fold seat switch assembly in the stowage position until the seatback and seat cushion are completely stowed.


INITIAL POSITION MEMORY RESET
NOTICE:
When the following actions are performed, initial position memory reset is necessary:
  1. The battery is disconnected while the seatback or seat cushion is moving.
  2. The fold seat control ECU is replaced with another used fold seat control ECU.
  3. The seatback or seat cushion is moved while the fold seat control ECU is disconnected.
  4. The relationship of the positions of the seatback and seat cushion becomes abnormal due to removal/installation, replacement, etc. of the seat.
  1. Initial Position Memory Reset

    1. Press and hold the No. 1 fold seat switch assembly in the return position.

    2. Within 10 seconds of pressing the No. 1 fold seat switch assembly, press the rear power seat switch 5 times in the direction which moves the seatback forwards.

      HINT:
      1. When the initial position memory reset is completed, a buzzer will sound 3 times.
      2. When the ignition switch is turned to ON after initial position memory reset is completed, a buzzer sounds continuously while the ignition switch is ON.
