REMOVE NO. 4 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 4 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE
REMOVE NO. 3 OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 4 bolts.
Unhook the engine under cover from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 4 bolts and rear engine under cover.
3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) |
- CAUTION:
- Do not remove the radiator cap while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.

*3 | Radiator Drain Cock Plug | *4 | Cylinder Block Drain Cock Plug |
Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.
Remove the radiator cap and drain the coolant.
- HINT:
- Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.
Loosen the cylinder block drain cock plug and drain the coolant from the engine.
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) |
5. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |
6. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
- HINT:
- Use a container to catch any ATF.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.

Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose from the transmission oil thermostat.
7. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
- HINT:
- Use a container to catch any ATF and coolant.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the transmission oil cooler assembly.
- HINT:
- Use a container to catch any coolant.

Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from the automatic transmission assembly.

Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from the transmission oil thermostat.
Remove the 3 bolts and transmission oil cooler assembly with transmission oil thermostat from the automatic transmission.
Remove the 3 bolts and transmission oil cooler assembly from the transmission oil thermostat.

Remove the 2 O-rings from the grooves of transmission oil cooler assembly.
8. REMOVE NO. 3 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 3 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
- HINT:
- Use a container to catch any ATF.
Detach the claw to open the clamp.

Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 3 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 2 oil cooler tube sub-assembly.
Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 3 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 3 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.
9. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE AND NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) |
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 flexible hose clamps and No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.

Remove the 2 bolts and 2 oil cooler tube clamps from the automatic transmission and engine assembly.
10. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE AND NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) |
- HINT:
- Use a container to catch any ATF.
Disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube from the automatic transmission assembly.

Remove the 2 bolts to open the 2 oil cooler tube clamps and remove the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 oil cooler tube clamps from the automatic transmission assembly and engine assembly.
11. REMOVE NO. 4 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 4 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
- HINT:
- Use a container to catch any ATF.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 4 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 4 oil cooler outlet hose from the radiator.

Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 5 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 5 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 2 oil cooler tube sub-assembly.

Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 5 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 5 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 3 oil cooler tube sub-assembly.
13. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 oil cooler tube sub-assembly from the fan shroud.

Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 6 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 6 oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler assembly.
15. REMOVE NO. 3 OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) |
Remove the bolt and No. 3 oil cooler tube sub-assembly from the oil cooler bracket.

Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler assembly from the vehicle body.
