1. REPAIR INTAKE VALVE SEAT
NOTICE:
  1. Repair the seat while checking the seating position.
  2. Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
  3. Take off the cutter gradually to make the intake valve seat smooth.

  1. If the seating is too high on the valve face, use 30° and 45° cutters to correct the seat.

  1. If the seating is too low on the valve face, use 60° and 45° cutters to correct the seat.

  1. Hand-lap the valve and valve seat with an abrasive compound.

  1. Check the valve seating position.

    Standard width:
    1.1 to 1.5 mm (0.0433 to 0.0591 in.)


2. REPAIR EXHAUST VALVE SEAT
NOTICE:
  1. Repair the seat while checking the seating position.
  2. Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
  3. Take off the cutter gradually to make the exhaust valve seat smooth.
