Drive Belt Installation


  1. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  2. INSTALL VISCOUS HEATER V BELT (w/ Viscous Heater)

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Viscous Heater)

Drive Belt -- Installation



1. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  1. Rotate the pulley of the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly clockwise, and then install the fan and generator V belt.

    NOTICE:
    Make sure that the fan and generator V belt is set properly on each pulley.
    HINT:
    When installing the fan and generator V belt, attach the fan and generator V belt to the No. 1 idler pulley sub-assembly last.


2. INSTALL VISCOUS HEATER V BELT (w/ Viscous Heater)

  1. Install the viscous heater V belt.



    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Turn the bolt and adjust the tension of the viscous heater V belt.



    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Tighten the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    39 N*m{398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf}

  1. Check the tension of the viscous heater V belt (LandCruiser RM000001KYZ00IX_01_0003.html).



3. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Viscous Heater)

  1. Install the No. 1 engine under cover with the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    29 N*m{296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf}
