Ignition Switch Removal


  1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

  2. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Ignition Switch -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for LHD and RHD vehicles.
  2. The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

    HINT:
    Turn the steering wheel to the right and left as necessary to remove the 2 screws.

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the lower steering column cover.



2. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. for Manual Transmission:

    1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.

  1. for Automatic Transmission:

    1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector and key interlock solenoid connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.

    3. Detach the claw and disconnect the key interlock solenoid wire harness from the ignition switch.
