Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly Removal

Remove the 13 clips and upper radiator support seal.

Put protective tape around the radiator grille.

Remove the 4 screws.

Detach the 8 claws and remove the radiator grille.

Disconnect the sensor connector.

Remove the 3 bolts and millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

Detach the 2 clamps and 2 guides and remove the hood lock release lever protector.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the bolt and low pitched horn.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the bolt and high pitched horn.

Remove the 2 screws.

Detach the claw and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

Remove the 3 bolts.

w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

1. Disconnect the connector.

Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

Remove the 3 bolts.

w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

for LHD:

1. Detach the clamp as shown in the illustration.

   *4	Clamp





2. Detach the 3 claws.
   





3. Remove the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
   

for RHD:

1. Detach the 3 claws.
   





2. Remove the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
   

Using a screwdriver, detach the clamps shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

Using a screwdriver, detach the clamps shown in the illustration.
