Rear Coil Spring (W/O Air Suspension) -- Removal |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL |
2. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LOWER BRACKET (w/ KDSS) |
Remove the 4 bolts and 2 rear stabilizer lower brackets.

3. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH |
Support the rear axle housing.
Remove the bolt on the lower side of the shock absorber.

Disconnect the shock absorber from the axle housing.
4. DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE |
Disconnect each brake tube from the rear flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.

Remove the 2 clips.
Remove the rear flexible hose.
Disconnect each brake tube from the rear flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.

Remove the 2 clips.
Remove the rear flexible hose.
5. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH |
While lowering the axle housing, remove the coil spring.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to snap the brake line and parking brake cable.
6. REMOVE HOLLOW SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door) |
Remove the hollow spring from the frame.
