Transfer Adapter Oil Seal -- Replacement |
| 1. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION UNIT ASSEMBLY |
Remove the manual transmission unit (LandCruiser RM0000011B201UX.html).
| 2. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 8 bolts and bracket.
 |
Remove the transfer assembly from the transmission.
| 3. REMOVE TRANSFER ADAPTER OIL SEAL |

Using SST, tap out the oil seal.

- 09308-00010
| 4. INSTALL TRANSFER ADAPTER OIL SEAL |
 |
Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.
Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

- 09223-00010
- Standard depth:
- 45.4 to 46.4 mm (1.787 to 1.827 in.)
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the lip of the oil seal.
| 5. INSTALL TRANSFER ASSEMBLY |
Install the transfer assembly with the 8 bolts and bracket.
- Torque:
- 24 N*m{245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf}
- NOTICE:
- Take care not to damage the adaptor rear oil seal with the transfer input gear spline.
| 6. INSTALL MANUAL TRANSMISSION UNIT ASSEMBLY |
Install the manual transmission unit (LandCruiser RM0000011B001TX.html).
