Tail Gate Removal

  1. REMOVE TAIL GATE STAY ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE REAR BODY TAIL GATE ASSEMBLY

Tail Gate -- Removal



1. REMOVE TAIL GATE STAY ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both tail gate stays.


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the 2 screws and tail gate stay.



2. REMOVE REAR BODY TAIL GATE ASSEMBLY


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. w/ Wire Harness:

    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 claws.

    2. Pull out the wire harness from the vehicle body.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear body tail gate.
