Name Plate -- Installation

1. INSTALL NO. 2 TAIL GATE MARK

HINT:

When installing the No. 2 tail gate mark, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 tail gate mark using a heat light.

Standard:

Item	Temperature
Vehicle Body	40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
No. 2 Tail Gate Mark	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 2 tail gate mark excessively.

Clean the vehicle body surface.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new No. 2 tail gate mark.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new No. 2 tail gate mark.
2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 2 tail gate mark.
  HINT:
  After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
3. Install the No. 2 tail gate mark in the position shown in the illustration.
  HINT:
  1. The values in the illustration are reference values.
  2. Press the No. 2 tail gate mark firmly to install it.

2. INSTALL TAIL GATE MARK

HINT:

When installing the tail gate mark, heat the vehicle body and tail gate mark using a heat light.

Standard:

Item	Temperature
Vehicle Body	40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Tail Gate Mark	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body or tail gate mark excessively.

Clean the vehicle body surface.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new tail gate mark.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new tail gate mark.
2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the tail gate mark.
  HINT:
  After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
3. Install the tail gate mark in the position shown in the illustration.
  HINT:
  1. The values in the illustration are reference values.
  2. Press the tail gate mark firmly to install it.

3. INSTALL REAR NAME PLATE

HINT:

When installing the rear name plate, heat the vehicle body and rear name plate using a heat light.

Standard:

Item	Temperature
Vehicle Body	40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Rear Name Plate	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body or rear name plate excessively.

Clean the vehicle body surface.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new rear name plate.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new rear name plate.
2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear name plate.
  HINT:
  After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
3. Install the rear name plate in the position shown in the illustration.
  HINT:
  1. The values in the illustration are reference values.
  2. Press the rear name plate firmly to install it.

4. INSTALL BACK DOOR MARK (w/ Grade Mark)

HINT:

When installing the back door mark, heat the vehicle body and back door mark using a heat light.

Standard:

Vehicle Body	40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Back Door Mark	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body or back door mark excessively.

Clean the vehicle body surface.

2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new back door mark.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new back door mark.

3. Install the back door mark as shown in the illustration.
  HINT:
  Press the back door mark firmly to install it.

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR NAME PLATE

HINT:

When installing the front door name plate, heat the vehicle body and front door name plate using a heat light.

Standard:
