- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the blocking system.

1.VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP |
2.INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE |
- Standard voltage:
- 11 to 14 V
- If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
3.CRANK ENGINE FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS |
Check that the engine cranks for more than 10 seconds.

Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000044SM00EX.html).
Clear the DTCs (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000044SM00EX.html).
Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the same ECD system*1 or SFI system*2, engine immobiliser system and blocking system*3 DTCs by reproducing the monitoring conditions indicated by the DTCs.
- *1: for 1KD-FTV, 2KD-FTV
- *2: for 2TR-FBE

- When replacing the telephone transceiver assembly, instrument panel integration antenna assembly or mayday battery, refer to the Service Bulletin.
- When the telephone transceiver assembly is replaced, it is necessary to set the contract mode.
- When the mayday battery is replaced, it is necessary to register into the telephone transceiver.
