Transmitter Battery Replacement

  1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER

  2. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE

  3. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY

  4. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY

  5. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE

  6. INSTALL TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER

Transmitter Battery -- Replacement


NOTICE:
Take extra care when handling these precision electronic components.


1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25.Door Lock.Power Door Lock Control System.Transmitter Battery Replacement

  1. Twist a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow in the illustration and remove the transmitter housing cover.

    NOTICE:
    Do not forcibly pry open the cover.
    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE

  1. Using a precision screwdriver, remove the door control transmitter module.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the transmitter battery cover.

    NOTICE:
    When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.

  1. Using a precision screwdriver, remove the battery (lithium battery: CR2016).

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not push the terminals with your finger.
    2. Do not forcibly pry up the battery. The terminals may become damaged.
    3. Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may cause rust.
    4. Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter. Doing so may interfere with proper operation.
    5. When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.
    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Install a new battery (lithium battery: CR2016) with the positive (+) side facing upward as shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
    2. Keep the transmitter cover interior free of dust and oil.
    3. When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the transmitter battery cover.



5. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE


Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Install the door control transmitter module.



6. INSTALL TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Install the transmitter housing cover to the transmitter housing case.

  1. Check that the transmitter LED illuminates 3 times when a switch is pressed 3 times.
