INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ABS WARNING LIGHT)

VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM - ABS Warning Light does not Come ON


DESCRIPTION

Refer to ABS Warning Light Remains ON (HILUX_TGN26 RM000003O4G013X_01.html).

WIRING DIAGRAM

Refer to ABS Warning Light Remains ON (HILUX_TGN26 RM000003O4G013X_02.html).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. After replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform calibration (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHR073X.html).
  2. Before disconnecting the connector, make sure that there are no problems with the connection.
  3. After disconnecting the connector, make sure that the connector case and terminals are not deformed or corroded.
1.CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Check that the ABS warning light comes on.

    OK:
    The ABS warning light comes on.

Go to step 2
OK

REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000010K0018X.html)

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    A36-10 (WA) - G19-38 (LP)
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    A36-10 (WA) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher


NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK


3.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ABS WARNING LIGHT)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test.

    ABS/VSC/TRC
    Tester Display
    		Test Part
    		Control Range
    		Diagnostic Note
    ABS Warning Light
    		ABS warning light
    		Warning light ON / OFF
    		Observe the combination meter.

  1. When performing the ABS Warning Light Active Test, check ABS Warning Light in the Data List.
