INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. After replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform calibration (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHR073X.html).
  2. Before disconnecting the connector, make sure that there are no problems with the connection.
  3. After disconnecting the connector, make sure that the connector case and terminals are not deformed or corroded.
1.CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (EXI TERMINAL)
  1. Connect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Set the vehicle to the 4WD state using the transfer shift lever.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    A36-20 (EXI) - Body ground
    1. Ignition switch ON
    2. Transfer shift position H4
    Below 1.5 V
  1. Connect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Set the vehicle to the 2WD state using the transfer shift lever.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    A36-20 (EXI) - Body ground
    1. Ignition switch ON
    2. Transfer shift position H2
    11 to 14 V

2.CHECK TEST MODE DTC
  1. Switch the vehicle to Test Mode, check the H2 to H4 shift operation, and then check that DTC C1282 is cleared (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHT091X.html).

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU AND 4WD DETECTION SWITCH)
  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Disconnect the 4WD detection switch (differential vacuum actuator assembly) connector.

  1. Disconnect the 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection

    A36-20 (EXI) - C31-3 (ADD)
