  1. INSTALL SOLENOID VALVE ASSEMBLY

  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK (for Fuel Sub Tank)

Solenoid Valve (For Fuel Cut Control) -- Installation



1. INSTALL SOLENOID VALVE ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the solenoid valve with the 2 screws.

    Torque:
    2.5 N*m{25 kgf*cm, 22 in.*lbf}

  1. Install the solenoid valve assembly with the bolt.

    Torque:
    7.0 N*m{71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the connector and No. 3 fuel hose, No. 2 fuel tube sub-assembly.



2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR3003X.html).


3. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK (for Fuel Sub Tank)

  1. Start the engine.

    NOTICE:
    Perform the inspection while the engine is cold.
    The fuel pump operates only for a calculated time when the coolant temperature is 20°C (68°F) or less and learned ethanol concentration is 85% or more.

  1. Check for fuel leaks.

    1. Check that there are no fuel leaks from the fuel system after doing any maintenance or repairs. If there is a fuel leak, repair or replace parts as necessary.
