Air Pump (W/ Secondary Air Injection System) -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY |
Attach the 3 fittings of the air pump insulators to install the air pump to the bracket.
| 2. INSTALL NO. 3 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE |
Install the No. 3 air injection system hose to the air pump.

| 3. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE |
Install the No. 2 air injection system hose to the air pump.
Secure the No. 2 air injection system hose with the clamp.
- HINT:
- The clamp can be installed facing upward or downward.
Clamp the No. 2 air injection system hose and wire harness with the clamp.
| 4. INSTALL AIR PUMP COVER |
Install the air pump cover to the bracket with the 3 clips.
| 5. INSTALL AIR PUMP INLET PIPE |
Install the air pump inlet pipe to the body panel with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 13 N*m{133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}

| 6. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET |
Install the air pump with bracket to the body panel with the 3 bolts.
- Torque:
- 13 N*m{133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}

- Insert the protrusion of the bracket into the hole in the body.

Connect the No. 2 air injection system hose to the air pump inlet pipe.
Connect the No. 3 air injection system hose to the air pump inlet pipe.
Attach the 2 claws to the air pump inlet pipe and body panel.
Connect the air pump connector.
| 7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL UPPER |
Install the front fender apron seal upper with the 5 clips.
| 8. CONNECT NO. 4 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE |
Connect the No. 4 air injection system hose to the air switching valve and air pump inlet pipe.
Secure the hose with the 2 clamps.
Clamp the hose with the clamp.
| 9. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE |
Install the No. 1 air injection system hose to the air pump inlet.
| 10. INSTALL AIR PUMP INLET |
Connect the hose to the air pump inlet pipe.
Install the air pump inlet to the radiator with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 8.5 N*m{87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf}
| 11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY |
Connect the air cleaner hose.
Install the air cleaner with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}
Tighten the hose clamp.
- Torque:
- 4.0 N*m{41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf}
Attach the wire harness clamp.
Connect the mass air flow meter connector.
