  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Cushion)

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Cushion)

  6. REMOVE UPPER BACK PANEL GARNISH

  7. REMOVE LOWER BACK PANEL GARNISH

  8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

  11. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  13. REMOVE QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  14. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER

  15. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly (For Extra Cab) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR1006X.html).


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR300CX.html).


3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Cushion)


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Operate the rear seat cushion lock hook release lever and pull up the rear seat cushion assembly LH to detach the hook.

  1. Detach the 2 hooks and rear seat cushion assembly LH.



5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Cushion)
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.


6. REMOVE UPPER BACK PANEL GARNISH

  1. Detach the 4 claws and 5 clips and remove the upper back panel garnish.



7. REMOVE LOWER BACK PANEL GARNISH

  1. Detach the 6 claws, 2 guides and 5 clips and remove the lower back panel garnish.



8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.

  1. Lift up the rear seatback assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the 2 hooks from the vehicle body. Then remove the rear seatback assembly.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.


9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  1. Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 clips and 8 claws and remove the front door scuff plate.



10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

  1. Remove the front door opening trim.



11. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt floor anchor.

  1. w/ Seat cushion:
    Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor.

  1. Detach the 4 claws, 3 guides and 7 clips and remove the quarter inside trim board LH.



12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25.Seat Belt.Seat Belt Warning System.Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly (For Extra Cab) Removal

  1. Remove the shoulder anchor.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

      HINT:
      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt shoulder anchor.

  1. w/o Pretensioner:
    Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  1. w/ Pretensioner:

    1. Disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly LH.



13. REMOVE QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front seat belt shoulder anchor cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Detach the 2 clips and remove the quarter pillar garnish.



14. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER

  1. Remove the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover.

15. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the bolt.

  1. Rotate the adjuster approximately 90°, and then pull and remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
