REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON
REMOVE PISTON SEAL
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Front Brake (For 4Wd And Pre-Runner) -- Disassembly |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 set rings and 4 cylinder boots from the disc brake cylinder.

- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the brake piston and disc brake cylinder.
2. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON |
Prepare a wooden plate to hold the pistons.

| 50 mm (1.97 in.)

| 25 mm (0.99 in.)
|
Place the wooden plate between the pistons and insert a pad on one side.
Use compressed air to remove the 4 pistons from the cylinder.
- CAUTION:
- Do not place your finger in front of the piston when using compressed air.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to spatter the brake fluid.
Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 piston seals from the cylinder.
