Parking Brake Lever -- Removal |
| 1. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR1006X.html).
| 2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR3008X.html).

Remove the lock nut and No. 1 parking brake cable adjusting nut.

Remove the 2 bolts and lever (with the No. 1 parking brake cable).

Bend the claw so that the No. 1 parking brake cable can be removed.

Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
 |
Disconnect the cable from the lever.
Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.
 |
Remove the screw and switch from the lever.
