  1. REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

  2. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON

  3. REMOVE PISTON SEAL

  4. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP

  5. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG

Front Brake (For 2Wd) -- Disassembly


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

  1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the set ring and cylinder boot.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the brake piston and cylinder.


2. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON

  1. Prepare a wooden plate to hold the pistons.

  1. Place the wooden plate between the piston and cylinder.

  1. Use compressed air to remove the piston from the cylinder.

    CAUTION:
    Do not place your fingers in front of the piston when using compressed air.
    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to spatter the brake fluid.


3. REMOVE PISTON SEAL


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25.Brake (Front).Front Brake (For 2Wd).Front Brake (For 2Wd) Disassembly

  1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the seal from the cylinder.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the inner cylinder and cylinder groove.


4. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP


5. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG

  1. Remove the bleeder plug from the cylinder.
