Engine Unit -- Removal |
1. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE |
2. REMOVE HEATER WATER HOSE |
3. REMOVE PCV HOSE |
4. REMOVE NO. 2 PCV HOSE |
5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY |

Disconnect the terminal cap.
Disconnect the generator connector.
Remove the 2 bolts and nut, and then disconnect the generator wire.
Remove the 2 bolts and generator.
6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH |
Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH.
7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH |
Remove the 3 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH.
8. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY |

Remove the 5 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner.
9. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD |
Remove the 10 bolts, intake manifold and 2 gaskets.

10. REMOVE OIL FILLER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY |
11. REMOVE OIL FILLER CAP HOUSING |
Remove the 2 nuts, oil filler cap housing and gasket.
12. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the 6 ignition coil connectors.
Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coils.
13. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE |
Remove the engine oil level dipstick.
Remove the bolt and pull out the engine oil level dipstick guide.
Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.
14. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY |
w/ Idler Pulley Cover Plate:
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 idler pulley cover plates, 2 No. 2 idler pulleys and 2 No. 2 idler pulley cover plates.

w/o Idler Pulley Cover Plate:
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 No. 2 idler pulleys and 2 No. 2 idler pulley cover plates.
for Integrated Type:
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 No. 2 idler pulleys.
15. REMOVE NO. 1 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the bolt and No. 1 idler pulley.
