Starter (For 1.7 Kw Type) Installation

Engine Hybrid System. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
2Tr-Fe Starting. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission)

  3. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)

  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Starter (For 1.7 Kw Type) -- Installation



1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the starter with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}

  1. Install the starter wire to the terminal 30 with the nut.

    Torque:
    9.8 N*m{100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the terminal cap.

  1. Connect the starter connector.



2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission)

  1. Coat a new O-ring with ATF and install it to the transmission oil filler tube.

  1. Install the transmission oil filler tube with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    12 N*m{122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}

  1. Install the transmission oil level dipstick.



3. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)

  1. Install the clutch release cylinder with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    for TR Engine series:
    12 N*m{120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}
    for 1KD-FTV, 2KD-FTV:
    12 N*m{119 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}


4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL

  1. Install the fender seal with the 5 clips.



5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR300CX.html).
