DTC B15E1 Media Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when signals from the CD in the navigation receiver assembly cannot be read.

One of the following conditions is met:
  1. An unsuitable CD is inserted.
  2. The CD cannot be read.
  3. The CD cannot be read because of dirt or scratches.
  4. The CD cannot be read because it is inserted upside down.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK CD


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Check that the CD is not deformed or cracked.

    OK:
    No deformation or cracks in the CD.

CHANGE CD
OK


2.CD CLEANING


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. If dirt in on the CD surface, wipe it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.

    NOTICE:
    Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.

3.CLEAR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000011BU0LCX.html).

4.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble code is output.

    OK:
    No DTC is output.

Go to step 5
OK

END (CD IS DEFECTIVE)

5.REPLACE CD WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK

  1. Replace the CD with another and recheck.

  1. Clear the DTCs (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000NY603HX.html).

  1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

    OK:
    No DTC is output.
