Lighting System -- System Description



ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM
  1. The illuminated entry system provides convenience when getting in or out of the vehicle at night.
  2. This function is controlled by the main body ECU. The operation and condition of this control are described below.

    Operation
    		Condition
    Fade in
    		When any of the following conditions is met, the personal light*1, room light and engine switch illumination*2 fade in.
    1. A key enters any actuation area around the doors when the ignition switch is off and all doors are closed*2.
    2. Any door is opened.
    3. Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off and all doors are closed*4.
    4. Ignition switch is turned from ACC to off when all doors are closed.
    Fade out immediately
    		When either of the following conditions is met, the personal light*1, room light and engine switch illumination*2 fade out.
    1. Ignition switch is turned from off to ACC or ON when all doors are closed.
    2. All doors are locked when the ignition switch is off*4.
    Illuminate for approximately 15 seconds, and then fade out
    		All doors are closed when the ignition switch is off.
    Fade out (Battery saving control)
    		When all of the following conditions are met, the main body ECU turns off the lights.
    1. A key is not inserted in the ignition key cylinder*3.
    2. A key is not in the actuation area*2.
    3. There is no change in the condition of the doors for 20 minutes.
    When any of the following conditions is met, the count of the battery save times will be cleared.
    1. A key is inserted in the ignition key cylinder*3.
    2. A key is in the actuation area*2.
    3. Any of the doors is opened.
