CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

DESCRIPTION

1. The radio and display receiver assembly receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly.
   

1. The radio and display receiver assembly receives a reverse signal from the back-up light switch assembly.
   

WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the E129 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
   

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E129-2 (REV) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON Shift lever in R	11 to 14 V
   E129-2 (REV) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON Shift lever in any position other than R	Below 1 V

3. Proceed to the next step based on the check result.
   

   Result:

   NG (for U250E, U341E)	B
   NG (for C59, E351)	C

1. Disconnect the E129 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
   

2. Disconnect the B88 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E129-2 (REV) - B88-1 (RL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E129-2 (REV) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

1. Disconnect the B88 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
   

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   B88-2 (RB) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

3. Proceed to the next step based on the check result.
   

   Result:

   OK (for U250E)	B
   OK (for U341E)	C

1. Disconnect the E129 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
   

2. Disconnect the B60 back-up light switch assembly connector (for C59).
   

3. Disconnect the B5 back-up light switch assembly connector (for E351).
   

4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   
   

   Standard Resistance:

   for C59

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E129-2 (REV) - B60-1	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E129-2 (REV) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   for E351

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E129-2 (REV) - B5-1	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E129-2 (REV) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

1. Disconnect the B60 back-up light switch assembly connector (for C59).
   

2. Disconnect the B5 back-up light switch assembly connector (for E351).
   

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   
   

   Standard Voltage:

   for C59

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   B60-2 - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

   for E351

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   B5-2 - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

4. Proceed to the next step based on the check result.
