1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    1 - 2
    		23 to 26 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
    1 - Body ground
    2 - Body ground
    		10 MΩ or higher
    If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.


  1. Check the operation of the vacuum switching valve.

    1. Check that air does not flow from port E to port F.



      2. Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.2Az-Fe Emission Control.Emission Control System.Purge Valve Inspection

    2. Apply battery voltage across the terminals.

    3. Check that air flows from port E to port F.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.
