Relay -- On-Vehicle Inspection |
| 1. INSPECT COOLING FAN RELAY NO. 1 |
Remove the relay from the engine room relay block.
 |
Measure the resistance of the relay.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 5 - 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 5 When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
- If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
Install the relay.

Remove the relay from the engine room relay block.

Measure the resistance of the relay.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 4 - Below 1 Ω 3 - 4 When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 5 - 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 5 When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
- If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
Install the relay.

Remove the relay from the engine room relay block.

Measure the resistance of the relay.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 5 - 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 5 When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
- If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
Install the relay.
