Front Seat Assembly (For Manual Seat) Reassembly

Engage the 8 clamps and install the front seat wire.

Install the seat position sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector with the pin as shown in the illustration.

Using a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position sensor with seat slide position sensor protector.

NOTICE:

1. If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.
   
2. When installing the seat position sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
   

HINT:

Be sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position sensor with seat slide position sensor protector.

Torque:

8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}

Make sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

Connect the connector.

Check that there are no loose parts after installing the seat position sensor.

Install the occupant classification ECU with the 2 claws.

Torque:

3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}

NOTICE:

1. If the occupant classification ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the occupant classification ECU with a new one.
   
2. When installing the occupant classification ECU, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
   
3. Do not allow oil or grease to adhere to the occupant classification ECU during installation.
   

Connect the connector.

Install the 2 nuts.

Torque:

5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}

Install the active headrest lower unit with the new clamp.

Install the active headrest upper unit with the 4 nuts.

Torque:

14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}

Connect the cable to the active headrest upper unit with the nut as shown in the illustration.

Torque:

5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}

Engage the claw as shown in the illustration.

Engage the claw and install the front seat outer track bracket cover as shown in the illustration.

Engage the clamp and install the seat track control cable clamp.

Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

Torque:

5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}

Engage the 2 clamps.

Engage the claw and 2 wire harness clamps to install the airbag wire harness.

Install the airbag wire harness to the seat track control cable clamp.

Install the hook.

Engage the claw and install the front seat lower cushion shield RH as shown in the illustration.

Engage the claw and install the front seat lower cushion shield LH as shown in the illustration.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

Engage the guide.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

1. Engage the clamp.
   

Engage the guide.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

Engage the 2 hooks and install the lumbar support plate.

Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly to the end of the seatback cover with the 4 tack pins.

Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with 4 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

1. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.
   

   Torque:

   5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}

   NOTICE:

   1. For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
      
   2. Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
      
   3. Install the bracket securely.
      

Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with pad with 4 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Using a tacker, install the front seat cushion heater assembly to the end of the seat cushion cover with the 8 tack pins.

Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 10 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Install the 2 front seat cushion edge protectors.

Temporarily install the front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

Engage the hooks.

Install the front seat cushion cover with pad with the 2 clips.

Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

Engage the hook.

Install the No. 2 seat track lower spacer with the screw.

Insert the guide and temporarily install the front seat cushion inner shield as shown in the illustration.

Engage the claw.

Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

Torque:

41 N*m{420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf}

NOTICE:

Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding part of the seat adjuster.

Connect each connector and clamp.

Install the No. 1 seat track lower spacer with the 2 screws.

Engage the 2 guides.

Engage the claw.

Install the front seat cushion shield with the 3 screws.

Install the vertical adjusting handle with the 2 screws.

Engage the 2 claws and install the vertical adjuster knob cap.

Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster release handle.

Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.
