  1. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

  2. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000XFE0H1X.html).

  1. With the curtain shield airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any following defects, replace the front pillar garnish or roof headlining assembly with a new one:


    1. Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the front pillar garnish or roof headlining assembly around the curtain shield airbag assembly.

2. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000XFE0H1X.html).

  1. With the roof headlining assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any following defects, replace the curtain shield airbag assembly with a new one:

    1. Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the curtain shield airbag assembly.

    2. Cracks or other damage to the connectors.
