  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. DISCONNECT AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Manual Seat)

  3. DISCONNECT AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Power Seat)

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Front Seat Side Airbag Assembly -- Removal


CAUTION:
  1. Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000KT10H0X.html).
  2. If the side airbag has deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, front seat frame assembly with adjuster, separate type front seatback pad and separate type front seatback cover with a new one.


1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
for Manual Seat: (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000Z8U0APX.html)
for Power Seat: (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000AR902OX.html)


2. DISCONNECT AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Manual Seat)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the hook.



    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.Supplemental Restraint Systems.Airbag System.Front Seat Side Airbag Assembly Removal

  1. Disconnect the airbag wire harness from the seat track control cable clamp.

  1. Disengage the claw and 2 wire harness clamps.



3. DISCONNECT AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Power Seat)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the 2 hooks.



    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the claw and 3 wire harness clamps.



4. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD
for Manual Seat: (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000VBH0DQX_02_0057.html)
for Power Seat: (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000ARA02WX_01_0032.html)


5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts to remove the front seat side airbag assembly.

    CAUTION:
    1. The nuts must not be reused.
    2. Make sure that the front seat frame assembly with adjuster is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
