Manual Transaxle Assembly Installation

Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

Torque:

11 N*m{112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf}

Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

Torque:

26 N*m{260 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf}

Install the manual transmission case protector with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

18 N*m{183 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf}

Install the rear engine mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.

Torque:

45 N*m{459 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf}

Install the front engine mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.

Torque:

64 N*m{653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf}

Temporarily install the engine mounting bracket LH with the 3 bolts.

Tighten the 3 bolts.

Torque:

52 N*m{530 kgf*cm, 38 ft.*lbf}

Align the input shaft with the clutch disc and install the manual transaxle onto the engine.

Install the 6 bolts.

Torque:

Bolt A:

64 N*m{652 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf}

Bolt B:

64 N*m{652 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf}

Bolt C:

46 N*m{469 kgf*cm, 34 ft.*lbf}

Bolt D:

46 N*m{469 kgf*cm, 34 ft.*lbf}

NOTICE:

1. Insert dowel pins into the dowel holes securely so that the end face of the transaxle assembly fits close against the engine assembly before tightening the bolts.
   
2. Make sure that the dowel pins are not loose, bent, damaged or scratched and then install the transaxle onto the engine with the contact surfaces of the engine and transaxle flat against each other.
   

Install the 4 bolts.

Torque:

44 N*m{448 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf}

Install the starter assembly, clutch accumulator bracket and wire harness clamp bracket with the 3 bolts.

Torque:

Bolt A:

37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}

Bolt B:

12 N*m{120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}

Connect the wire harness to terminal 30 and install the nut. Then, attach the terminal cap.

Torque:

9.8 N*m{100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf}

Connect the terminal 50 connector to the starter assembly.

Temporarily install the front engine mounting insulator with the nut and through bolt.

Temporarily install the rear engine mounting insulator to the engine mounting bracket with the through bolt.
