TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM - Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer sounds using pulse signals sent from the clearance warning ECU assembly. The buzzer sounds to alert the driver and the buzzer frequency changes depending on the distance to an obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Clearance Sonar / Active Test.

  1. Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

    Clearance Sonar
    Tester Display
    		Test Part
    		Control Range
    		Diagnostic Note
    Buzzer
    		Clearance warning buzzer
    		Operate or Stop
    		Confirm that the vehicle is stopped and the ignition switch is ON
    OK:
    The clearance warning buzzer sounds.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)

  1. Disconnect the O28 ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    O28-10 (BBZ) - F31-1
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    O28-11 (EF) - F31-2
    		Below 1 Ω
    O28-10 (BBZ) - Body ground
    		10 kΩ or higher
    O28-11 (EF) - Body ground
    		10 kΩ or higher


NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK


3.REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER

  1. Replace the clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000001PYN013X.html).

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Clearance Sonar / Active Test.

  1. Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.
