  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP (w/ Assist Grip)

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH

  5. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

License Plate Light Assembly -- Removal



1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP (w/ Assist Grip)


2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 13 clips and luggage compartment door cover.



3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Disconnect the rod.



    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Disconnect the cable and connector.



    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly.



4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Lighting.Lighting System.License Plate Light Assembly Removal

  1. Put protective tape around the luggage compartment door outside garnish.



    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Remove the 3 nuts.



    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the luggage compartment door outside garnish.



5. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Lighting.Lighting System.License Plate Light Assembly Removal

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the license plate light assembly as shown in the illustration.
