DTC B1655/37 Driver Side Seat Belt Buckle Switch Circuit Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The driver side seat belt buckle switch circuit consists of the center airbag sensor assembly and the front seat inner belt assembly (driver side).
DTC B1655/37 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the driver side seat belt buckle switch circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE07JX.html).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Check for DTCs (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE07JX.html).

    OK:
    DTC B1655/37 is not output.
    HINT:
    Codes other than DTC B1655/37 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

2.CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

  1. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor assembly and the front seat inner belt assembly (driver side).

    OK:
    The connectors are properly connected.

3.CHECK CONNECTORS
  1. Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor assembly and the front seat inner belt assembly (driver side).

  1. Check that the connectors (on the center airbag sensor assembly side and front seat inner belt assembly (driver side) side) are not damaged.

    OK:
    The connectors are not deformed or damaged.

    NOTICE:
    Do not forcibly insert a service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting.

9.REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

  1. Replace the front seat inner belt assembly (driver side) (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000001P2B01EX.html).

    HINT:
    Perform inspection using parts from a normal vehicle if possible.
