VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM - Skid Control Buzzer Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The skid control buzzer sounds while the accumulator pressure is abnormally low or when an abnormality causing low fluid pressure occurs, and then the VSC is activated.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XHR024X.html).
1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester.

  1. Check that the buzzer sounds/stops when turning the skid control buzzer on/off by using the intelligent tester.

2.INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection

    E13-2 - Body ground
    Ignition switch ON
    10 to 14 V

3.INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER

  1. Apply battery negative voltage to terminal 1, and battery positive voltage to terminal 2 of the skid control buzzer, and then check that the buzzer sounds.

    OK:
    The skid control buzzer sounds.

4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - SKID CONTROL BUZZER)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:

    Below 1 Ω
    A26-30 (BZ) - Body ground

    10 kΩ or higher
    HINT:
