REAR FLOOR AIRBAG SENSOR - REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
  • CAUTION:
  • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
  • NOTICE:
  • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected ().
2. REMOVE REAR STEP COVER (w/ Sliding Roof)

  • HINT:
  • Use the same procedure to remove the step cover on the other side.

Detach the 2 claws and remove the step cover.

3. REMOVE REAR STEP COVER (w/o Sliding Roof)

  • HINT:
  • Use the same procedure to remove the step cover on the other side.

Detach the 2 claws and remove the step cover.

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Sliding Roof)

Remove the screw.

Detach the 3 claws and 4 clips, and remove the scuff plate.

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/o Sliding Roof)

Remove the screw.

Detach the 3 claws and 4 clips, and remove the scuff plate.

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/ Sliding Roof)

  • Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/o Sliding Roof)
  • HINT:
  • Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR AIRBAG SENSOR

Fold back the floor carpet.

Detach the clip and claw, and remove the cover.

Remove the bolt and sensor.

Disconnect the connector.
