ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Entry Function) - Driver Side Door Entry Lock Function does not Operate
DESCRIPTION
If the driver side door entry lock function does not operate but the entry unlock function operates, the communication line between the vehicle and electrical key transmitter is normal. The part at fault may be an entry lock switch circuit (certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) → driver side door outside handle (entry lock switch) → driver side door electrical key oscillator).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
| 1.CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION |
When the master switch assembly door control switch is operated, check that the locked doors unlock.
- OK:
- Door locks operate normally.

| 2.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH) |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the intelligent tester on.
Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

Disconnect the z24 or z22 oscillator connector.
Disconnect the z23 or z21 handle connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
- for LHD:

| z24-9 (TRG-) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
- for RHD:

Disconnect the E29 ECU connector.
Disconnect the z23 or z21 handle connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
- for LHD:

| E29-3 (TSW1) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
- for RHD:

Replace the door electrical key oscillator ().
